  • We will develop cooling segment material by looking at the heat transfer requirements and developing the technique of attaching the selected material to the device shaft by addressing the impact of safety to patient, cooling effect on glue and optimizing the cooling around the surface that become in contact with the tissue.

  • We will develop the gas delivery system from the external refrigerant tank up to the cooling segment by addressing the safety to patient and user, optimal gas usage and preventing freezing around the device shaft prior to reaching the tip of the device. With our proven expertise we will address FDA, CE Mark and Health Canada requirements related to the safety of using high pressure gas within the medical device.

  • We will develop the user interface of the controller with all what is required to improve the procedure efficiency, procedure time, complexity, and the control of the disposable medical device.

  • Our knowledge of the medical procedures and customer environment, we will develop required accessories to connect the device to the controller by addressing the sterilisation field around the patient, safety to patient and user and improve procedure setup time. Further more, we will develop a device delivery accessories in order to improve the delivery and stability of the cooling segment near the treated tissue. This will include development of delivery tracks, introducers, deflectable sheath and other important accessories.

Great reading book about CryoAblation Devices

Drs. Paul Khairy and Marc Dubuc have written a book entitled Cryoablation of Cardiac Arrhythmias. This work, with contributions from a team of some 30 authors prominent in cardiac electrophysiology, is meant to be a reference book and source of knowledge on the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias.

The book first gives an account of the progressive use of cold in medicine since its modest beginnings in 2,600 B.C. to the present day. It then offers a brief survey of its future potential in cardiology. An entire section of the book is dedicated to prac-tical cases presented in detail by each of the authors, who share their knowledge and practical ways of doing things with the reader.
